Gugulethu-SofiaMbatha, also known as Gugu Mbatha Raw is an actor from Britain who has gained notoriety for her part in 'Doctor Who. The British TV science-fiction series was shown on BBC. Gugu was a huge success in this series, playing Tish Jones. Tish is the sister of Martha Jones. Gugu had a destiny to make an acting career once the audience were captivated by the vivacious and spirited personality. Gugu has appeared on a variety of British dramas and television shows. She has received critical acclaim for her performance in the British period dramas like 'Belle' (2013) and Beyond the Lights' (2014). In addition, she has performed in several American productions like "Larry Crowne', which is a film starring Tom Hanks comedy film and TV shows such as "Undercover" series and "Touch.' Gugu was the main character in Jessica Swale's 2015 play, "Nell Gwynn", as an actress/mistress of King Charles II. The parents of Handler were both homeowners. Her father was a dealer of used cars. Her mother was a German Immigrant, who immigrated to the United States in 1958. The cancer of the breast was first discovered in the year 1989. Handler died 10 years after battling cancer. Handler is a Reform Jew, and her father was Jewish. Handler enjoyed a pleasant and healthy childhood growing up in an affluent community. When she was 19, she relocated from the city of Los Angeles, California to pursue a career in acting. Handler was an actor in order to support herself. Handler began to do stand-up comedy full-time after she reached the age of 21. She realized she has a knack for story telling. Handler began her stand-up career becoming a member of the all-female Oxygen cast, which featured in a tv show known as Girls Behaving BADLY. The series was famous for its hidden camera and the practical joke. This show aired from 2002 to 2005. The handler worked on numerous other shows including Weekends at D.L. The Bernie Mac Show My Wife and Kids, The Practice, and Weekends at D.L. Handler appeared on The Tonight Show for a while as a correspondent. Handler was given her first major break in the form of hosting her own E! Show in 2006. The show was called Chelsea Handler. It lasted two seasons. Handler appeared on Comedy Central's Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour the next year in the United States. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend and HBO have broadcast her stand-up performances. The show was announced as the host of MTV's 2010 MTV Video Music Awards in 2010. In this way, she became the first woman to host the VMA's, following Roseanne Barr.
