Angelica Panganiban is a Filipino-American actress model TV host and comedian. Panganiban is often referred to as the "new Queen of Drama" by many media publications. She is also recognized as being one of the Philippines best-known and versatile actors. Angelica Hale, then 4 years old, was taken seriously ill in 2012 because of a strep pneumonia bacterial infection. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston put her on ECMO, a life-saving intervention. The patient suffered from multiple organ failures and kidneys that didn't recover. Hemodialysis and later peritoneal dialysis was her new norm. Her return home was finally made after an eighteen-day stay in the hospital from the point where she was in danger of dying to the lengthy road to healthy. Life was forever altered. Angelica was on dialysis for more than a decade and half before she could undergo the kidney transplant. The kidney that would be donated to her came from none other than her mom. Angelica, along with her mom underwent successful kidney transplantation on September 13, 2013 at two amazing hospitals that were situated right next to each other: Emory University Hospital & Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. Angelica Hale is pursuing her stardom dreams ever since.
